Will my health insurance cover therapy?

It is always best to check with your insurance company to see if they cover mental health therapy prior to your first session. Commonly, most major insurance companies cover the services that we offer in our practice. We are happy to assist you with verifying your eligibility upon your request.

How long will the process take?

Therapy is a very individualized process and the amount of time it takes will also vary depending on the client's treatment needs.  We suggest that  clients to commit to 12-16 weeks of therapy initially, and we will review your treatment goals and progress and decide with you if continued therapy would be beneficial.  Those people using EAP benefits may be given a limited number of sessions initially typically anywhere from 3 to 10. After those sessions are completed we can discuss utilizing your health insurance to continue therapy as needed.

How do I schedule an appointment?

There are a few options for scheduling appointments. The easiest option is to take advantage of online scheduling through the Client Portal link above. You can also send an email or text message to the contact information listed below (in green). It is discouraged to call to schedule an appointment as the therapists may be in a session and unable to answer your call.

Do you accept Medicaid?

This is a tricky answer. In SC, the Medicaid program is managed through multiple insurance providers. For example, Healthy Connections is the name for Medicaid that is not managed, but you may have Healthy Blue,  Select Health/First  Choice,  Absolute Total Care, Molina, or Wellcare Medicaid. At this time, we are only able to accept Healthy Blue and Healthy Connections Medicaid.  If you have one of the other managed Medicaid insurances, please refer to the insurance website "Find a Provider" directory to find a therapist that is able to accept your insurance.  The Community Mental Health Center in your city/county is also able to provide therapy services no matter the Medicaid type.
